A Prophecy For The Australian Church And Its Leaders Part 2

By Matthew Robert Payne John 15:1-6 1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser! 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; [a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. You claim to know My Son and be part of the vine and you claim you have the fruit, which you think is the fruit of the Spirit. Even the unconverted Spirit can have the fruits. You need to bring in a harvest, you need to replicate yourself and you need to abide if you are not going to be thrown into the fire. Who abides? John 15:10 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love , just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. But you don't even know my Son's commands and so how do you teach them and how do you abide if you don't walk in them. You see you deceive yourself. You don't need Satan to deceive people in your flock, you have deceived them in your blindness. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. You won't lay aside your sin and you won't teach your people that they need to and then you teach foolish things like grace saves you no matter how much you sin! Didn't I say there would be a famine for hearing the Word of God in the Last days? You think these are the last days and yet your don't think there is a famine? You do not obey My Word and you teach lies. You are so deceived that you don't even know which doctrine on anything is right. You have a hundred denominations of the church and every person thinks they are right. People even preach Revelation openly when I warned that you should not do that! How can you save this generation when you don't even know My Word? You ignore this: 1 John 5:2-4 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome . 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the worldour[ a] faith. You teach that the commands are burdensome and too hard so you say that they were written 2000 years ago and they are not for today! You teach prosperity and blessing and that all will prosper and that is your excuse to fornicate with the world. And you teach that one can't overcome the world or the flesh so you don't even try! What sort of people are you? My John says: 1 John 3:3 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. You say you can't be pure and you teach you can't be pure and yet you claim to hope in Jesus? Is this scripture a lie or are you believing a lie? What about this: 1 John 3:7-9 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous . 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. Does this scripture lie? Are you born of God? Do you sin? Do you walk in the Spirit? Are you pure and blameless? Are you practicing righteousness! Or are you disobeying the Law and the Son? Didn't My Son say in the last day that He won't be the judge and that His words will judge in the end? How are you going to go on judgment day when Jesus says, you did not obey My Commands! Do you love Jesus? John 14:23-24 23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. You say you love My Son and yet you don't even keep His commands. You think that I am saying something so simple. Surely it can't be so simple! Well why don't you obey My Son? You do not obey Him and you live in a country that does not obey Him! Why 90% of you have NEVER heard that there are 50 commands of Jesus let alone obey them! Therefore Jeremiah 23:9-12 9 My heart within me is broken
Because of the prophets;
All my bones shake.
I am like a drunken man,
And like a man whom wine has overcome,
Because of the LORD,
And because of His holy words.
10 For the land is full of adulterers;
For because of a curse the land mourns.
The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up.
Their course of life is evil,
And their might is not right.
11 " For both prophet and priest are profane;
Yes, in My house I have found their wickedness," says the LORD.
12 " Therefore their way shall be to them
Like slippery ways;
In the darkness they shall be driven on
And fall in them;
For I will bring disaster on them,

Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings," says the LORD. 3 "But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4 I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking," says the LORD. 5 " Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, " That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness;
A King shall reign and prosper,
And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
6 In His days Judah will be saved,
And Israel will dwell safely;

The man that preaches in front of thousands is false and the man you won't let in your pulpit is most often true. So my prophets can have a mental illness, doesn't this scripture declare it? My Own Son was a fool in His day! He taught Israel to drink His blood something that was directly opposed to the Law. In hindsight you smart Christians say that He was referring to wine, which is a symbol, and think you are so smart! To the people of His day He was mad and this act of talking about drinking blood lost him most of his followers. And yet if a prophet comes to you and brings My Word in a rebuke you call him a fool! He isn't my prophet if he says what you believe in! You say he has to encourage and edify and build up the body to be a prophet of mine? But My Word says: Jeremiah 23:28-29 28 " The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream;
And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully.
What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD.
29 " Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, " And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Has this word of the LORD comforted you and edified you or has it come like a fire and a hammer! You are in error and need to repent and be set apart. You are in love with your riches and the world but my scripture says that you are an enemy of God and a fool if you do that! 1 John 2:15-17 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the worldthe lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of lifeis not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Ephesians 4:17-24
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of[ a] the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

James 1:27 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 4:3-4 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and[a] adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 5:1-6 1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. 4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. 5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as[ b] in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. Revelation 3:15-18 15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. Repent therefore! How am I going to bring a revival to a wicked people who say they love me but deny My Son's teaching? How I am I going to save the people of Australia when the Christian people of Australia are hypocrites! Who is my bride, who obeys Me? Who loves Me and obeys Me? You are lonely and you are rejected and you are suffering in the churches of the country and saying to yourself that there must be something better. Every time you share your revelation that My Spirit gives you people reject your revelation and reject you! When you try and share your truth that I have revealed you are told to shut up and that you are error. You are poor and you are rejected and you find it hard to go to church and you are looking for the truth but all you hear is lies and garbage. And who are you to argue, you have not been trained and you have not been to college, but you have a message like this, and it's a simple message and yet no one wants to hear you! Who are you? Am I happy with you? Yes this is you! Revelation 3:7-10 7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":[ a] 8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;[ b] for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lieindeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. I know who you are: Indeed if this is you then it is time for you to come out of the Babylon run whore! You know people like you, fellowship in your home and teach people to Obey My Son. The time is coming when it will not be safe to go to church! Revelation 18:2-4 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues . Great judgment is coming upon Australia. I need to judge this country, as it is evil My Prophet is no fool and is not going to say when and what is going to happen and put dates on things so he can be discredited. Let those who would condemn him condemn him on these words I bring! When Sydney experiences an earthquake that kills more people then those who lost there life in the twin towers judgment of Mine then you will know that This prophet was indeed my prophet! No prayers will stop this judgment; I have spoken through my prophet and it WILL COME TO PASS! And John Howard better repent if he can indeed find repentance for all the evil he allowed in his reign! Amos 3 Authority of the Prophet's Message 1 Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying:
2 " You only have I known of all the families of the earth;
Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities."
3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey?
Will a young lion cry out of his den, if he has caught nothing?
5 Will a bird fall into a snare on the earth, where there is no trap for it?
Will a snare spring up from the earth, if it has caught nothing at all?
6 If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid?
If there is calamity in a city, will not the LORD have done it?
7 Surely the Lord GOD does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
8 A lion has roared!
Who will not fear?
The Lord GOD has spoken!

In The Beginning Christ!

By Daryl Frisbee As I was doing my studies, the Lord put something on my heart that really took me by surprise. He dropped a little bit of revelation knowledge into my mind, and it took me on a great ride. In this Newsletter, I want to share with you what the Lord has showed me. In no way is this a complete study of this subject, yet I do believe that this is a core teaching on the subject, and that the understanding of Christ is deeper then most believe. Lets open this study with Hebrews: 1:1-2: God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, [2] in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. The part that we wont to look at is in verse 2 He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. As I was reading this the Lord dropped in my thought that as I said early really shook me. That according to Hebrews, God made the whole world through Jesus. Now thats not that big of a thought, but when God showed me this in the bible that is what God me excited. I believe we all can in a way comprehend this, but what I couldnt comprehend is how this is done. At least according to my time framed thinking. See as I seen it, Jesus was alive about 2000 years ago. So how did he create the whole world? Even with thinking out side of the box, in the spiritual realm I still had trouble. If Jesus was in his spirit form, then he already excited long before 2000 years ago. So how could he of been created on earth? So I always took Hebrews, 1:1-2 as absolute truth, but never really took any serious thought about it. Taking Hebrews 1:1-2 into consideration, lets look at John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. [4] In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Here we have a similar scripture as Hebrews but this time we have a little bit more information to the mix. Now we see that the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
No doubt that this is Jesus. So Jesus was the Word of God, and created all things. Now we are getting some where, I can see that. But still there is one more thing that it says about Jesus. That In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness. Jesus was the Light that all things were created in. according to Hebrews 1:1-2 and John 1: 1-5. On a spiritual side this is absolutely easy to understand, but how about the physical? This is still the problem with me; Jesus in the spiritual is easy for me to understand, but not the physical, where in the bible does it say that he was ever a physical light and created things? Until the Lord dropped this into me, this is as far as I could get on this subject. They were no real proof of this. Well lets take a look at Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. [3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. [4] And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. [5] And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. This is the answer to Hebrews, and John. Gen 1; 3 Then God said Let there be light I know what you are thinking, Brother Daryl, this was the sunshine. Well thats what I had thoughts for years, and in fact I really didnt even question that scripture at all. But when was the sun and moon created? Genesis 1:16-19 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. [17] And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, [18] and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. [19] And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. On day 4, the sun and moon was created. So this means that there was a God given light for the first few days, and it never says that this light has gone away. In fact, Hebrews 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; We see that Jesus is upholding all things by the word of His power. It is the light of Genesis that we see Jesus in the physical creating all things. In the Light of Jesus all things were created, and in the light of Jesus he is upholding all things today. Not only do we see this light of Jesus in Creation but we also see it in the book of Revelations: Rev. 22:5 And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever. O Glory to God, how awesome is this. To actually see a scripture come to life. It took a movement of God to show me, but thank God he did. Please, I beg you to study this yourself, and you will see Jesus in his awesome presence in every aspect of God. Remember Jesus is the outshining of God. We could say it like this. The sunlight is the brightness of the Sun; the light that it gives shows its wonder and power. So is the light of the Son, showing Gods glory in his light. Daryl Frisbee Covenant Ministries:

When I speak of trout, I'm referring to the basic trout species that can be found throughout the United States. These species would include: Rainbow, Brown, Brook, Cutthroat, and Bull Trout. Although there are variations in temperament, colors, and size within these groups of trout, the methods for trying to catch them are similar. Below are some general trout fishing tips to help you catch more of any or all of the species listed above, especially in river and stream situations. Size Matters - When it comes to trout fishing, the size of your gear and bait matter. In most trout fishing situations, ultra light to light gear and bait is the way to go. Unless of course you happen to be fishing for the monster Great Lakes visiting Brown Trout of the Midwest, in which case heavier gear will be necessary. I personally use a 5 foot ultra light rod and ultra light reel spooled with four for almost all of my trout fishing, and catch very large trout on a setup just like this. I personally don't normally fish for trout with spinners and spoons that are bigger than ounce. And minnow-type plugs shouldn't exceed four inches long, in my opinion when fishing for trout. Clothing Matters - In river and stream situations when the angler is wading in an attempt to catch fish, the color of your clothing matters. Loud colors or even plain white, stand out and the fish will be able to see you. I always wear drab colors to blend in with the background as much as possible. Trout in rivers and streams can become vary wary of anglers, so not standing out works to the anglers' advantage. Simply pick a t-shirt that's brown or grey. As apposed to bright red or bright white. Smell Matters - I'm not talking about the kind of deodorant you use. I'm speaking of the scent on your hands. All varieties of trout have a very sensitive sense of smell and can detect unnatural odors. For example, if you smoke, when you're done with a cigarette your hands smell like an ashtray. This smell then transfers to whatever you touch (if you don't believe me, just ask a non smoker if this is the case.) Therefore, when you touch the bait or lure to attach it to your hook or line, that scent gets on your bait! This will cost you a ton of bites. In most situations a trout will "sniff" the bait before biting it. If it stinks like an ashtray, there will be no biting. I suggest both grabbing a handful of weeds or dirt and rubbing it in your hands periodically, just in case any unnatural scants are on your hands. This simple tip will result in more bites. Presentation Matters - Trout are a very intelligent species of fish. Whatever bait you chose to use must be presented in the most natural way possible. This is especially true with live bait. You want your bait to look as natural as possible. This is why I use gang hooks, because they enable me to present my live bait in an amazingly natural way. With trout in a river or stream situation, presentation matters as much as any other single aspect. If you begin using these tips, you will start catching more trout. The word sushi actually refers to rice with rice vinegar added. Since this is a very basic and lightly flavored food, it is the many ingredients added to it that really define what dish you are eating. The raw fish you have heard of is sashimi -- which is a crucial ingredient of many types of sushi -- but you can create delicious sushi with almost any ingredient that goes with rice. In America by far the most common type of sushi is maki-sushi, or rice wrapped in seaweed. The seaweed is called nori and forms the green skin you can see around sushi pieces. For this reason maki-sushi are also called nori rolls. Also popular are nigiri-sushi, small bars of rice topped with wasabi and sashimi. It's easy to include sushi in a healthy diet. Think of the ingredients: rice, vegetables, and fish. Not exactly a heart-attack in the making; just the opposite in fact. As long as you don't go overboard on the rice it is extremely low in calories in addition to being low in fat. While we chomp pork rinds and potato chips, the Japanese have sushi. You will need the following items, all of which should be easy to find in your supermarket's oriental foods section or at your local Asian market: Bamboo rolling mat
Sushi rice (short or medium grain)
Nori (squares of roasted seaweed)
Salt
Sugar
Rice vinegar
Imitation crab meat
Avocado
Cucumber
Wasabi
Soy sauce Prepare the rice according to the directions on the package. You will need about 3/4 cup cooked rice for each sushi roll, and most people will be full after eating 1 or 2 rolls. In a small pan, place a tablespoon of vinegar and 1/3 tbsp of sugar and salt for each 3/4 cup of rice you are cooking. Heat the resulting mixture briefly and stir until the sugar dissolves. When the rice is almost done cooking, begin cutting your vegetables. Peel a cucumber and cut it into long thin strips, about a 1/4" around. Same for the avocado. If you bought powdered wasabi prepare it also (just mix in tiny amounts of water until you get a thick paste). Once the rice is done, remove it from heat and slowly fold in the vinegar mixture. Then lay the rice out on a sheet of waxpaper or a cutting board and allow it to cool (traditionally this is done by fanning the rice while slowly cutting and folding it with a special rice spatula). The rice should be slightly damp from the vinegar and sticky, but not wet and mushy, adjust the amount of vinegar mixture you add as needed. Getting the rice right is the most difficult part of making sushi, but a little practice will teach you what works. Once the vinegared rice has cooled off, you are ready to put it all together. Lay your bamboo rolling mat in front of you horizontally (the bamboo sticks should run left-right). Take a sheet of nori and lay it on the rolling mat. For best luck with the rice, keep water handy to dip your fingers in. Spread a layer of rice on the nori, covering about 3/4 of it. The part of the nori not covered in rice will hold the roll closed (think of the glue strip on an envelope or the gum on a cigarette paper). Place a strip of avocado and a strip of cucumber on the rice, and top it with crab meat. Now wet your fingers with cold water and dampen the part of the nori you left uncovered. Carefully roll the sushi using the mat. If this sounds complicated, don't worry. It's as simple as rolling up a sleeping bag or a beach towel, and it will be obvious to you once you actually have the ingredients in front of you. Take the resulting roll and cut it into bite sized slices, usually 6 per roll. If you are having trouble cutting the roll without damaging it, try dipping your knife into water between each cut. Lay the pieces flat and they will look like little colorful discs. Serve with wasabi and soy sauce on the side. If you feel brave and want to try do-it-yourself sashimi, here are a few safety tips. First of all, understand that millions of people eat raw fish every day without getting sick. However, most of them live right next to the sea where fresh fish is abundant. During the assessment process it is of great importance for the physician or clinician to consider other possible causes of inattention, impulsivity, or hyperactivity in your child, or teen, or yourself. There are several possible causes of these behaviors, especially in children, and the clinician must have great certainty that these other possible causes have been ruled out before giving the label of "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder" to your child.
In this issue we will discuss the possibility that your child has depression rather than an Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, lymbic type.
When one is depressed several of the following symptoms will be noted. Someone with four or five of the following symptoms should probably see a physician or other professional to get a real assessment done.
The common symptoms of depression include: Physical Hyperactivity, or Lack of Activity (Hypoactivity) Change of Appetite, either Less or More Change in Sleeping, either Less or More Loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities Loss of energy, increased fatigue Feelings of worthlessness, or inappropriate guilt Difficulty concentrating Thoughts of death or dying In children and teens, depression is shows itself with increased aggression, irritability, or isolation from the family.

The Healing Arts: Head, Hands and Heart: Part One, A Paramedic's Journey

By Russ Reina Ive had a simple concept grip me with such power that Ive spent more than thirty years of my life exploring its many facets. Oddly enough, I didnt know how to put words to it until just a few years ago. It has to do with learning how to be a Healer as opposed to what I call being a Flesh Mechanic. The start of this journey took place in the back of an ambulance. I was on the first wave of Mobile Intensive Care Unit Paramedics in the country during the 70s and 80s. I began my 12-year career as an Emergency Medical Technician (a basic level of emergency care delivery). We used to proudly say that we worked with our Head, Hands, and Heart. No truer words were ever spoken! These three, besides a limited array of bandages and splints, a cylinder of oxygen and a converted V-8, Cadillac Hearse, were all we had to use. The goal: Get the patient to the hospital as fast as possible, preferably alive. Improvisation was a necessity. In serious cases, Id run through my bag of tricks so quickly that all I had left to give was my self. Sometimes the only thing that seemed to stand between death and my patient was my desire that the patient live. I cant count the intense moments I spent unassisted in the back of a careening ambulance doing cardiac compressions and giving mouth to mouth resuscitation (there were no face masks in use back then)essentially breathing for and being the heartbeat of the personfor a breakneck ride to the hospital. Can you imagine a more intimate period of time with a human being than this? Something strange would happen to me when my sense of compassion was ignited. I would simply know what to do. Something as simple as a gesture by my patient would be so familiar to me, so human, thatjust for an instantthe difference between my patient and me would dissolve. From that moment until I dropped off the patient at the hospital, I moved from someplace centered inside my chest, and my actions felt spontaneous. At the time, I was aware of the difference between acting from the heart and acting from the head, though not able to articulate it. Once I started to fill my head with the therapies and procedures, drugs and techniques that are the stock in trade of the paramedic, however, I found myself turning into a superb Flesh Mechanic. Focused on the delivery of care, it became easy for me to distance myself from the experience of being a human being with a human being in need. There was an almost imperceptible coldness growing in me. The tradeoff was convenience and comfortI didnt have to be affected so deeply, so personally. If the patient died, I could say, Well, the drugs didnt work. This led me to a choice point, though, because I could feel myself losing my humanity. As I looked around me at my peers, from fellow EMT's through the heads of the hospitals I worked at, I saw the same creeping coldness take shape and stick. I was pulling away from the loop of connection that is so vital to the healing process. The more distant I became from my experience, the more my own life force seeped out of me. On the other hand, at times confusingly so, being invested completely in the moment with a person in need also provided a healing for ME. I kept getting hints and tips to remind me there were different ways to work than being lost within the mechanistic process that was beginning to feel so empty to me. One call after another would come during a forty-eight hour shift, each more challenging and perhaps insane than the one before it. After having no sleep for 36 hours or so Id find myself in the middle of a complex incident where everything was going wrong. Overwhelmed, and not having a clue as to what to do next, internally, Id throw my hands up in despair, and surrender to Whatever it was that created me, my patients and the situation. In those moments, something else seemed to take over. Completely. I would literally feel my consciousness shift from my head to my heart. I found myself in the midst of the moment, with all my heart, for that was all I had left. It was as if I could see with all of me, rather than just my eyes. I would move from my center rather than in response to a thought process. There appeared to be no brain involved, no lag time, between perceiving something needing to be done and doing it. Miracles would truly come through me. At the time, I wasnt really aware of how one piece fit into another. Those experiences, however, prompted me to begin investing more and more of my time being as present as I could, in each moment, with my patients. I found that I could increase the odds of my being effective on a call by taking time to prepare and open myself to just deal with each moment as it unfolded. Rather than thinking about the technical approaches I could use, I began to take the situation in from a deeper place, and then do just what was necessary. Id spend the rest of my time being with rather than doing to. I discovered so many of my actions became intuitive rather than logical. I recognized something important: preparation, and connection to myself and the moment and the patient really IS the essence of healing, and something in the heart makes it happen.
